I came across this quote:Â
"The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding." - Dipen Parmar.
If I look back at some of the most challenging property transactions I have had to navigate, I can honestly say that even though it was hard and I sought to evade the weight of that obligation, the perseverance and discipline of taking it on have yielded my own personal and business growth more than the seamless transactions.Â
What we try to avoid, whether in our personal lives or business, is where we need to work.Â
I used to avoid having hard conversations, but as a business owner, these are necessary and can often help us identify where we all need to work. We make excuses as to why we can't do the things that we need to do in order to grow. Old patterns and bad routines stop us from growing.Â
Some areas where you may struggle:
Where to start?
Consistency & discipline
Discipline instils a sense of routine and consistency in your work habits. This consistency enables you to progress toward your goals steadily. Whether completing tasks on time, consistently delivering high-quality work, or continuously improving your skills, discipline helps maintain a structured path to success in your career.
Prioritise tasks, set clear objectives and adhere to deadlines with a disciplined approach. This ensures you maximise your working hours, increasing productivity and efficiency. It also allows you to allocate time for self-improvement, furthering your professional development.
The world does not stop moving for anyone, so if you don't look out for yourself and grow, you will end up with regret.
So, stop avoiding those hard things and take a few risks.Â
Take care,
