5 Ways to Kick Start That Summer Body

Every year come bikini season, many of us take a look in the mirror and realise that all the tasty food of winter has indeed had its price. But why start exercising in winter? It’s too cold for a run and there’s always spring to start. Well, for some reason or another, healthy habits picked up during the colder months stick better than any other time of year. Not to mention, starting now will give you a few extra weeks of headway before those who start later. Here are five ways to kick-start your summer body and start some healthy habits to maintain it.

H2O:
One of the best things you can do for your body is to retire the cold drinks and caffeinated beverages as you start to work on your healthy summer habits. Each time you feel a thirst coming on, grab a glass of water. Not only will this help your brain be more active, and your skin look a little brighter, but it will also help to shed any retaining fat in your system.

Pack your own lunch:
How easy is it to quickly order lunch from  Mr Delivery or Uber Eats when lunchtime rolls around? While this is great as a treat, eating fast food won’t be doing you any favours to get healthier. Set aside 20 minutes in the evenings to pack a lunch for work, school, or university. The key to this trick is to pack healthy food you can enjoy throughout the day: sandwiches on rye bread, marrow or brinjal chips, a handful of mixed nuts, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes or whatever you enjoy that is healthy. 

Create a morning workout routine:
While going out for a run before the sun comes up might not be up your alley, there are plenty of exercises you can do in your living room while you wait for warmer mornings. Do a little research and find a 10, 15, or 20-minute routine to help you squeeze a little exercise before leaving home. Morning workouts are ideal as they will help you to wake up and energise you for the day by stimulating your metabolism.
