We are not saying don’t use chocolate eggs for your Easter Egg Hunts but why not add a few non-sugary items to balance it out a bit?
Here are a few ideas:
Bubbles
A cheaper, healthier alternative to chocolate is bubbles – also suitable for the outdoors.
Marbles
Marbles can never go out of fashion, show the kids how marbles are really supposed to be played and get the whole family involved.
Hot Wheels
Both girls and boys enjoy ramping little cars around the garden. With the price of Easter eggs being so high it is a win! Help the kids build a little sand track once they have found all the cars.
Small figurines
Toys stores have a variety of small figurines or action men, stick them to a marshmellow egg and hide in the trees.
Watercolour Paints
A pack of watercolour paints can keep kids entertained for ages. Get a few extra brushes and some watercolour paper for some fun painting time in the garden.
Puzzle
Put the iPads away for the day and Build a 100 piece puzzle with the kids after your Easter lunch. This will be a fun one to hide in the garden.
