Q: Give us a brief description of who you are and what you did before joining Homes of Distinction

A: I have been in the property industry for 30 years, however, I have also managed Retail, Commercial and Industrial properties during this period. Therefore, selling homes is simply another facet of the property industry that I can easily navigate. Property is in my blood, and I just love the fact that I am responsible for families finding their forever home. As the saying goes... Home is where the heart is!

Q: What makes you an Agent of Distinction? (Your unique selling points)

A: I stay in Alberton and know the area extremely well. Therefore, I'm the resident Agent of Distinction and will bring my vast knowledge and skillset to assist both sellers and buyers in making their dream home become a reality.

A: Homes of Distinction is a well-known brand in the North and has a stellar reputation when it comes to the residential property market. Q: What are your first impressions of Randhart, Raceview, New Redruth and Alberante?

 

A:  Very well maintained and extremely neat and clean.

 

Q: What are the sort of property sizes and prices one can expect from Randhart, Raceview, New Redruth and Alberante?

 

A: This will vary from suburb to suburb, but anything from as low as R800k to R5-6 Million.  Ranging from Townhouses and flats to huge properties on large stands. They simply don't build them like this anymore. 

 

Q: What sets these areas apart from the surrounding suburbs?

 

A:  The sense of community, great schooling, awesome shopping and easy access to the R59 highway.

 

Q: How suitable is Randhart, Raceview, New Redruth and Alberante for young families? (Schooling and family-friendly attributes)

 

A: House prices are reasonable for new families wanting to own their own homes. We have several very good nursery schools in the area, as well as primary and secondary schools. We also have a number of private schools that service the area.  

 

Q: What are the nearby healthcare facilities like?

 

A: A brand new Netcare hospital is being built and is due to open early in 2022. This will replace the Union Hospital.  

 

Q: What advice would you give to people looking to purchase property in the Southern Suburbs?

 

A: Drive around the area extensively and pop into the local shopping centres. Join the local FB pages for more info on the area. Speak to the community and your local area specialist - Carol MacLean

 

Q: Has there been any recent changes to the property market in the area?

A:  None at present, however, change is always on the horizon. 

Q: Tell us why you love Randhart, Raceview, New Redruth and Alberante?

A:  I live in the area, I shop in the area, I exercise in the area, it's a lovely old fashioned yet well-established area, which is safe as well as child and pet friendly.
